hey you guys who haven't been to the Body Works display at the Tech,
Kaitlin and i went over the weekend. It's AWESOME! really artistic,
really educational. it's not gross, either, as long as you don't think of it
that way. yes it's real bodies, but they present it really well so you don't
feel like puking the whole time. It was really fun, and i learned a lot. they
have this really cool display of an "exploded body", where they dissected
all the parts and expanded them so you could see each part individually.

my uncle was our tour guide - he's a neurologist and has dissected a lot
of bodies before - but the audio tour is also really good. (the guy has an
awesome british accent! which is besides the point.) we're members, so if
anyone wants free tickets, just come see us! yeaaaaaaaah. it also comes with a FREE okay-ish movie. movie's not that great though.

btw it's going away around the end of january, so get your tickets NOW!
(all you 7th and 8th graders - exigency! yeaaaaah!)

Mhmm, it's a really great learning experience (if you're not disgusted by hanging muscles on plastinates, that is). Like Cathy said earlier, some of them are really artistic like "The Drawer Man" and the "X-Lady," so look for them when you check it out (IF you check it out). I highly suggest you go soon, the exhibit's closing somewhere mid to end of January.
8D yes, Catherine your uncle is awesome!

So basically, what you do is just look at dead people's bodies? And watch some guy dissect them? ...Awesome

umm.... no, they're pre-dissected and plastinated.
But it's really cool with dead bodies in glass cases :)
